Villeneuf shoot new video
You on your island, who are your neighbours? Those are the first words to the song ‘Island’ that will appear on Villeneufs new album, scheduled for release in June of 2012. On January 14th however, an official Villeneuf video will be shot for this song. Together with Open Studio and supported by acclaimed director Simon Sliphorst, director Sacha Glastra van Loon and production manager Marion van der Poel and their crew will be making this ‘Island-video’. Villeneuf joins Massive Talent family
Villeneuf are very very proud to announce that they’ve joined the Massive Talent family. MassiveTalent is a music platform that aims to help unknown artists start off their music careers by connecting them to brands, games, films, television series or any other great work that might get their music out there in a positive light. Being part of market leading music agency MassiveMusic, they work in a large global network of advertising agencies, which puts them in a favorable position to promote and push music of young unknown talents that yet have to make their way into this big world.

New adventure in (semi) hi-fi

A couple of weeks ago we started recording a new song. It should be called ‘Talkshow host’ , or something. What’s different is that I’m not doing it alone: Bas Ernst is helping me and he and several other musicians are recording some cool shit. Last Saturday: Lucas Meijers (pic).

EP is being mastered / Video?
The new VLL9 EP is currently being mastered, but the guy doing it probably wouldn’t call it that. In fact, he specifically asked me not to mention his name in fear of damaging his (or her!) mastering reputation.
There is also rumour (started by me) that there ‘ll be an official video-release with the release of our new EP. But first: we celebrate 3 oktober with raw fish en carrots!
Radioshow @ Broedplaats
Villeneuf are scheduled to perform at a radioshow called ‘Broedplaats’ december 6th. Live, you ask? No, we answer. It ‘ll probably air the 8th of december. Of this we are not sure, however.
Try-out show October 1st cancelled
We’re sorry, but we hadn’t even learned how to play the chords yet. But all kidding aside: due to unforeseen absentees the try-out show, part of the smallest tour in the world, on October 1st has been cancelled.

That’s right: VLL9 are going on the smallest tour in the world. We will be playing:
October 1st, 23.45 till 24.00 in The Hague, Loosduinsekade 725.
